Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Imaging Team at HCA Florida Englewood Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film.
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders, and administer and record dosages as needed.
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address their concerns to provide a positive patient experience.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient information using computerized documentation systems.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program.
  • AART (NM) and/or CNMT Certification.
  • Current American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
