Job Title: Sports Coach

Company: Adams 12 Five Star Schools

Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:

• Head Coaches must possess a valid AED/CPR certification upon hiring.
• Assistant coaches are required to have a current First Aid/CPR certification or must be willing to obtain one.
• All coaching staff must be a licensed teacher in Colorado or hold a valid coaching registration with CHSAA upon hiring.
• Coaches in Colorado are required to have a current concussion certification from NFHS or Children's Hospital Colorado upon hiring.
• All coaching staff must successfully complete the annual CHSAA Coaches Exam.

Education and Related Work Experience:

• Prior coaching experience and/or participation at the high school or collegiate level is preferred.

Technical Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Ability to oversee students and enforce district, school, league, and CHSAA regulations.
• Possess expertise and skills in the specific sport.
• Ability to strategize, organize, and effectively lead the specific sport.
• Ability to demonstrate and instruct advanced techniques in the specific sport.
• Ability to adhere to and promote Board of Education policies, Superintendent Policies, and departmental procedures.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals from various backgrounds.
• Recognize the significance of safety in the workplace and adhere to safety protocols.

Necessary Skills and Background:
Possess a current First Aid/CPR certification or be willing to obtain one. Previous coaching experience and/or participation at the high school or collegiate level is essential. Must be capable of supervising students and enforcing district and CHSAA regulations. Expertise in the specific sport is required. Ability to plan, organize, and successfully lead the specific sport is necessary. Capable of demonstrating and teaching advanced techniques in the specific sport.
