Organization: Adams 12 Five Star Schools
Required Certifications:
- Head Coaches must possess a valid AED/CPR certification upon employment.
- Assistant coaches are required to have a current First Aid/CPR certification or be willing to obtain one.
- All coaching staff must be licensed educators or hold a valid coaching registration with CHSAA at the time of hire.
- Coaches in Colorado must complete a concussion certification from the NFHS or Children's Hospital Colorado upon employment.
- All coaching personnel must successfully pass the annual CHSAA Coaches Exam.
- Prior coaching experience or participation in sports at the high school or collegiate level is preferred.
- Ability to oversee student athletes and enforce district, school, league, and CHSAA regulations.
- Possess expertise and skills relevant to the specific sport.
- Capability to plan, organize, and effectively lead the specific sport.
- Ability to demonstrate and instruct advanced techniques in the specific sport.
- Commitment to uphold Board of Education policies, Superintendent directives, and departmental procedures.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Awareness of safety protocols and adherence to safety regulations.
