Alecto Recruitment is actively seeking a Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician located in the Berkshire region.
Our client, a distinguished player in the Recycling Industry, is in search of a dedicated and skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to enhance their team.
In this role, you will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of various heavy machinery, including Balers, Shears, and other specialized equipment.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and dump trucks.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Equipment Maintenance or equivalent.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with machinery from various manufacturers, including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi, JCB, and Liebherr is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Balers, Shears, and other heavy equipment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance based on customer requirements and standard maintenance schedules.
• Disassemble malfunctioning equipment to identify broken parts and perform repairs using specialized tools.
• Extensive experience in diagnosing faults in hydraulic systems and electrical circuits.
• Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to conduct diagnostics and provide effective solutions.
• Carry out repairs and replacements of defective components, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance measures.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally and fostering positive client relationships.
