Delivers a comprehensive array of tailored banking solutions to individual clients, emphasizing a long-term relationship that encompasses financial guidance, lending options, and various monetary requirements. Engages with clients to assess their financial objectives and provides tailored recommendations on how the bank can fulfill those needs. Strives to create a customer experience that fosters a positive emotional connection with the bank, its personnel, and its offerings. Actively identifies sales opportunities utilizing the established sales presentation framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possesses a solid understanding of the bank's offerings and the client's existing relationship, providing insights on products and services that could enhance the customer's banking experience. (Attentively listens to client needs and aligns those with the bank's offerings, leading to referrals.)
- Assess the requirements of prospective clients and suggest suitable financial products and services. Gather and organize new client account information to facilitate the opening of new deposit accounts, including necessary documentation.
- Manage all deposit-related products, including the initiation and closure of Certificates of Deposit, as well as handling IRA transactions.
- Coordinate referrals and appointments with Home Loan Specialists and educate clients on various mortgage options.
- Maintain ongoing client relationships by updating them on account statuses and improvements to enhance goodwill and encourage further business. Propose solutions for account-related disputes and other activities.
- Promptly address client inquiries and resolve complex transaction issues.
- Promote and cross-sell bank products and services that align with client needs.
- Generate new business opportunities to support the profitability objectives of the branch.
- Process deposits of checks and cash into savings and checking accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies.
- Cash checks and disburse funds from accounts after verifying signatures and balances. Scrutinize all financial instruments for negotiability.
- Handle incoming calls, take messages, provide information, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to established security protocols, ensuring the confidentiality and protection of client information at all times.
- Assist clients with ATM services as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including general office upkeep.
- Complete required training on bank policies and regulatory compliance pertinent to the role.
- Become proficient in digital banking tools and achieve certification.
- Perform all duties associated with a teller position.
Qualifications:
- At least 90 days of experience as a teller, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth.
- Successful completion of training programs, including New Account Basics, Advanced New Account Training, IRA Training, Bill Pay and Debit Card Training, Digital Banking Training, and related courses.
