Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, assembling and packaging finished goods, and ensuring that all products meet quality and production rate standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect raw materials and verify counts on departmental raw material, sub-assemblies, assemblies, packing material, and associated product documentation and administrative data.
  • Assemble and package finished goods according to production order instructions.
  • Verify that all products meet quality and production rate standards.
  • Responsible for good housekeeping in assigned work area(s) and promoting and following all established environmental, health, and safety policies and practices.
  • Inform Supervisor of safety, quality, and/or other problems that occur during the shift.
  • Complete requisitions, work orders, or other requests for materials, tools, and stock items to ensure delivery is on time to the production areas.
  • Set up machine according to procedures already established or according to good manufacturing practices so that quality products are manufactured at acceptable levels.
  • Run, adjust, and maintain process controls on machine.
  • Record required data on forms for batch records.
  • Follow all procedures for operation of machinery, cleaning procedures, and dress code.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner, while completing tasks on a timely basis.
  • Keep work area clean and well organized and assist in keeping entire facility in the same condition.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years' experience in fast-paced, high-volume warehouse operations.
  • Good reading, math, and written and oral communication skills required.
  • Legible handwriting a must.
  • Ability to work from verbal or written instructions required.
  • Time Management.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English language.
  • Familiar with warehouse operations, storing and retrieving stock, and associated paperwork.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, talk, and hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
