Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Summary:
Amcor is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured products by performing required measurements, inspecting ware for defects, and accurately completing all associated documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect finished products in the clean room and on the production floor.
  • Perform all job duties per most recent GMP rules and guidelines.
  • Perform quality inspections for dimensions, attributes, and function throughout production runs.
  • Effectively utilize available tools by reading and understanding product drawings, and packaging specification sheets, and using instruments such as calipers, dial/digital indicator gages, comparator, and any other required tools.
  • Print out Quality Inspection Plans (QIPs) in order to verify correctness and perform inspections properly.
  • Complete documentation of findings, inspection, test results, and quality-related data.
  • Report all non-conformances to Production Supervisor or Process Technician and prepare associated paperwork.
  • Assist in determining the source and resolution of quality problems. Participate in root cause analysis investigations of defects to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Interact and respond to inspection system data.
  • Statistical review of data collected on production parts for Critical and Non-Critical Characteristics.
  • Investigation and part evaluation for Hold Ware incidents.
  • Special projects or duties assigned by Quality Manager or Quality Supervisor.
  • Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Practices and any other applicable Prerequisite Programs associated with the Product Safety System.
  • Understand and follow EHS policy and requirements specified in applicable EHS documents.
  • Know where applicable system documents are located.
  • Report actual and potential EHS incidents and emergencies to managers or supervisors.
  • Communicate system non-conformances to managers or supervisors.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Training or experience in a quality discipline and/or initiatives.
  • Must have knowledge of gauges, digital/dial gages, calipers, and paperwork.
  • Must have excellent vision and meticulous handling skills, ability to communicate both orally and in writing, ability to read and interpret written documents when required, and average math skills are required.
  • An equivalent combination of experience, education, and training, which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities of this classification. Must successfully complete all required company training and certification before progressing to the next level of proficiency.
  • While performing duties in this classification, the employee is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts/equipment and vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to medium noise in the work area.
  • Must wear the proper PPE and required clean room smocks, gloves, etc.
