Job Title: Manufacturing Group Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to lead a team of skilled employees in troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of skilled employees to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and processes.
  • Administer National and Local Agreement between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union.
  • Use independent judgment within the limits of Global Manufacturing Systems, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).
  • Learn new skills and influence the development of manufacturing processes to support the transition to electric and autonomous vehicles.
Requirements:
  • One year of direct team supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.
  • Ability to coordinate, manage, address performance concerns, and lead people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage conflict and make decisions in an ambiguous fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Word, typing, email etc.).
  • Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, self-directed.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering and Manufacturing Teams.
