Talascend Diesel Mechanic Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Talascend. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing engine and emission maintenance, repairs, and drive train component work on heavy duty Class 8 trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced-level repair and maintenance on heavy duty Class 8 trucks, including engine drive trains, suspension and steering systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, and air brake and valve systems.
  • Identify and repair malfunctions using electronic tools and ensure adherence to safety procedures and requirements.
  • Responsible for welding to repair equipment and ensuring adherence to all safety requirements at all times.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technician position working on heavy duty class 8 trucks.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in air brakes, tires, hydraulics, electrical, suspension, steering, wheel-end components, and drive train.
  • Proficient with basic computer skills, including MS Excel and word processing applications.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASE Certifications.
  • Previous experience in the heavy transportation industry as a technician/mechanic.
  • Have own tools.
  • Class B Commercial Driver's License.
