Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at the Preston Automotive Group. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair and rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, and other components as needed.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent future issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
  • Stay up to date with the latest automotive technologies and industry advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal training or certification in diesel technology preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of diesel engine systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
