Infrastructure Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Infrastructure Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at ZipRecruiter. As an Infrastructure Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing infrastructure IT projects and operations in an organization similar in size to DISA J6 C4.

Responsibilities:

  • Communication: Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management, ensuring seamless collaboration and project execution.
  • Data Center Expertise: Must have experience with dealing with all facets of operating a data center—floor space, air flow, power, cooling, ventilation, security, access, and "green" design concepts.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated excellence in planning, directing, and managing infrastructure IT projects and operations, including supervision of employees of various labor categories and skills in infrastructure-related areas.
  • Industry Standards: Knowledge of industry accepted standards and best practices related to infrastructure operations.
  • Enterprise Level Experience: Must have experience in operating and maintaining enterprise level infrastructure operations, including evaluating and establishing facility requirements.
  • Requirements Translation: Must have expert knowledge in translating high level functional and technical requirements for infrastructure based on interactions with the user community.
  • Infrastructure Modernization: Must have working experience with modernizing and sustaining enterprise classified infrastructure, including base-lining infrastructure resources (floor space, power, cooling).
  • Capacity Planning: Must have experience with facility capacity planning, including space, power, and HVAC.
