Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager for Space Systems to join our team. As an Engineering Manager (Space Hardware), you will be responsible for managing personnel and guiding programmatic efforts within the Space Hardware team. You will oversee the management of engineers who design, build, test, and operate cutting-edge satellite technology.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in personnel management, 3+ years of experience in project management, and 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering. They will also have excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment.

This position is located in our Santa Barbara office and reports directly to the Vice President, Space Systems. The successful candidate will have opportunities to work with both hardware, software, and product-focused teams, as well as senior staff, to substantially impact the development of new technology and the personal growth of an extremely talented group of engineers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM field
  • 10+ years of experience in personnel management, project management, and/or direct exposure to hardware engineering
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying Jira to hardware engineering
  • Certifications in PMP, CAPM, and/or CSM

Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 per year.
