Job Description:

SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) in North Charleston, SC. The selected candidate will develop static and dynamic design and analysis of electrical systems, equipment, and packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop static and dynamic design and analysis of electrical systems, equipment, and packages.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
  • Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
  • Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
  • Prepare variance documentation as required to address TDP or manufacturing issues.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables to the government for accuracy, clarity, and recommended acceptance.
  • Support vendor and sub-contractor variance and or ECP efforts to gain government approval.
  • Support the generation of reports for engineering studies and investigations relating to identified technical issues impacting the program.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two (2)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Must have design experience in designing electrical systems and cabling.

Must have working knowledge of 3D CAD or AutoCAD.

SolidWorks or CREO preferred.

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance within 60 days of hire; SAIC will help to obtain.

Must be a current US Citizen.
