Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Groundperson to join our team at Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC - 040. As a Groundperson, you will be responsible for operating chainsaws, wood chippers, and other equipment to maintain our utility lines and right-of-way areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate chainsaws and wood chippers to cut and process brush and trees.
- Drag and feed brush into wood chippers.
- Service and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Work in a team environment to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Entry-level position, no experience required, but previous experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.
- Exposure to loud noises from equipment and potential hazards from falling branches.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
