Job Summary:

The Bus Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe transportation of children enrolled in the Head Start program. This position requires adherence to established performance standards and compliance with the regulations set forth by the relevant educational authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport children along designated routes, ensuring safety and punctuality.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding transportation policies.
  • Document and report any vehicle issues to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Assist in classroom activities as needed, fostering a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
