We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, package, and label drug products under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Perform data entry and filing associated with the process.
- Participate in pharmacy department performance improvement projects and collect data for workload measurements.
- Assist with drug purchasing and inventory control procedures.
- Minimum one year of full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy preparing sterile I.V. admixtures.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Experience in IV solution processing.
