Cyber Engineer-SME Job Description

At DigiFlight, we are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Engineer-SME to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cyber penetration testing, system exploitation techniques, and cybersecurity principles for Linux, Windows, and virtual platforms.

The Cyber Engineer-SME will be responsible for providing technical and in-depth penetration testing support on a SAFe Agile DevSecOps Program. This includes assisting with the protection and security of systems that store data, implementing safeguards to prevent intrusions and breaches, and providing cybersecurity engineering services for classified and unclassified networks.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 15 years of experience. A MA/MS degree is required, or a BS/BA degree with a minimum of 20 years of total experience. The candidate must also have an active TS/SCI clearance and be a US Citizen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review RMF Packages for completeness and technical accuracy.
  • Assess documented designs for compliance with NIST and DOD related policies for on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
  • Perform Risk Assessment IAW with Army RMF 2.0 policy.
  • Review security design artifacts to determine the risk profile of the IA program.
  • Provide recommendations for protecting networks, workstations, servers, and IT assets.
  • Conduct audits to ensure information systems security policies and procedures are implemented as defined in security plans and best practices.
