Role Overview

The Process Improvement Specialist will develop, execute, and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement at designated locations. Key focus areas will include: Digital Transformation, Lean Methodologies, Operational Excellence Metrics, Sustainability Initiatives, and Cultural Development. This role requires collaboration across various levels, from operational teams to senior management, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining Lean management systems on the production floor, including methodologies such as 5S, visual management, standard operating procedures, waste reduction, and ongoing improvement.
  • Engaging in annual planning processes to align with organizational development goals.
  • Leading cross-functional improvement initiatives (Kaizen, SMED, Root Cause Analysis, etc.) aimed at minimizing waste and enhancing safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality in production.
  • Conducting assessments to identify needs, developing use cases, and collaborating with digitalization teams to implement relevant solutions.
  • Managing site-specific projects within the database to facilitate capital investments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Engineering or Chemistry.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing sector or a related process-oriented industry.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing technological and process improvements.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is preferred.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives (Quality Circles, Kaizen, SMED, Root Cause Analysis) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with digitalization solutions (IIoT, Industry 4.0, etc.) and automation in business or manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 50001 Energy Management or similar energy management systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 5% as needed.
