Position Overview:
As a Neurodiagnostic Technician I, you will be responsible for conducting various Neurodiagnostic assessments under the guidance of the Director, Lead Technologist, and medical staff.

This role involves training to perform advanced Neurodiagnostic techniques, including but not limited to Neonatal EEG, Electrophysiology (EP), Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) in Intensive Care Units (ICU), GRIDS, WADA tests, Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV), and Electromyography (EMG).

The technician will develop competencies to become proficient in all facets of Neurodiagnostic practices.

Qualifications:

Essential Education and Experience:
A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with 2 to 4 years of college education preferred. Completion of a CAHEEP accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) training program is highly advantageous.

In the absence of a college degree, relevant on-the-job training in a large healthcare facility demonstrating necessary competencies may be accepted as a substitute for formal END education.

Candidates must possess at least one of the four END modality certifications (REEGT, REPT, RNCST, RPSGT) to be eligible for consideration. Additional certifications such as CLTM and/or CNIM are considered highly beneficial. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Furthermore, the candidate must be prepared to take on leadership responsibilities when necessary.

It is mandatory to obtain C-LTM monitoring certification within 18 months of employment to maintain eligibility for EMU responsibilities.


Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

Job Requirements:
Individuals in this role will not be required to operate vehicles for work-related purposes.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
