Job Summary

The Principal Countermeasures Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing countermeasure capabilities to detect and mitigate potential malicious activity within large data sets. This position requires a strong background in enterprise software development, proficiency in Java and Python, and the ability to translate mission requirements into software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop advanced countermeasures in accordance with client's Systems Engineering Lifecycle and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE Methodology)
  • Use COTS or GOTS capabilities, or provide supporting expertise for the development of new platforms and analytic applications
  • Survey state of the art cybersecurity detection practices for potential use in new detection analytics
  • Perform threat modelling for use in potential countermeasures application development
  • Develop cybersecurity countermeasures that adhere to the client's CI/CD pipeline and be flexible in their deployment
Requirements
  • TS/SCI Clearance (or Top Secret with SCI eligibility)
  • Strong background in enterprise software development with proficiency in Java and Python
  • Ability to translate mission requirements into software products
  • Ability to identify optimal methods for aggregating, storing, correlating, and visually depicting various types of data
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Zeek sensor technology and data types
  • Working knowledge of parquet data types
  • Working knowledge of current malicious cyber tradecraft (TTPs)
  • Understanding of Mitre ATT&CK framework
