Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Seasonal Sales Associate to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-organized store environment, and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience for customers
  • Execute cash handling to standards and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
  • Engage customers on the benefits of our rewards program and complete enrollments
  • Educate customers on our Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
  • Merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Support the merchandise return and go-back process and general store recovery
  • Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions
  • Participate in the truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Assist with omnichannel processes
  • Execute a well-merchandised and in-stock store
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations, and promote commitment to our organization's vision and values
  • Help customers shop and find what they are looking for
  • Cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
Requirements
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
Work Environment

Public retail store setting taking care of our customers; all public areas are climate-controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled; some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks; Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press; work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings
