Job Summary:

To provide high-quality diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment and adhering to department policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing diagnostic radiological procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Utilizing skills and abilities required for the age of the patient served, including image processing and understanding of the current RIS and PACS system.
  • Working under the supervision of a radiologist as needed, participating in film Quality Assurance, exam clarification, and ECG (as required).
  • Patient/transport, file work, restocking supplies/cleaning, and responsible for patient registration and patient scheduling.
  • Participating in an on-call or standby schedule as required and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required.
  • Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three (3) years.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
  • Adaptability, following policies and procedures, flexibility, experience with McKesson PACS, and experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Associates degree in Radiologic Science or related field.
