Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Kinston, NC. As a valued member of our team, you will assist in conducting screenings and assessments to identify students with speech and language concerns.

Treatment Planning and Implementation

You will implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to address communication needs. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, targeting articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic skills.

Collaboration and Documentation

Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals and enhance their academic performance. You will maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Completion of a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • State licensure or certification as an SLPA, or eligibility for licensure.
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
