Job Summary

Bulk Express Transport is a leading provider of transportation and logistics services, seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Technician to join our team.

This is a dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and automatic transmissions. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and machines, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs on company-owned fleet of diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions.
  • Conduct complete inspections of vehicles at the time any repair is being performed.
  • Communicate with shop leadership for repair details and parts requests.
  • Complete all repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain the work area clean and free of debris or objects.
  • Follow thoroughly the safety rules and OSHA compliance procedures.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience with diesel engines.
  • Experience with modern diesel engines, DPF systems, and automatic transmissions.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems. Heavy equipment, dump, and walking floor systems.
  • Own his small and basic tools. The company provides heavier tools such as jacks, bars, and impact wrenches.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and software is a plus (JPRO, DAVIE4, CUMMINGS INSITE, SERVICE RANGER).
  • ASE Certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work a changing schedule based on demand.
  • Must be able to work on the field when required.
Working Conditions

This role is located primarily in an outdoor environment with varying noise levels. There may be varying degrees of temperature. The employee may be interrupted from time to time.
