Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Service Desk Associate to join our team at Planet Fitness. As a Service Desk Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members and guests, while also maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet all members and guests upon arrival and departure, answer questions, and handle member and guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Membership Sales: Sell memberships, write agreements, and enter new members into our database.
  • Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain the facility, including equipment, showers, changing stalls, lockers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, hand dryers, and floors.
  • Point-of-Sale Operations: Operate the Point-of-Sale system and collect balances on past due accounts.
  • Club Operations: Monitor club access, schedule appointments for fitness training sessions, and complete the Club Walk-Around every 20 minutes.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Experience: Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent phone, communication, and interpersonal skills, accuracy with numbers, ability to follow directions, and ability to work well independently and with others.
Physical Environment and Requirements
  • Work Environment: Primarily indoor environment with normal exposure to light, sound, heat, and cold.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp, and reach, and must be able to move, lift, push, pull, and carry at least 60 lbs.
