Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Education Support Specialist to join our team at School Administrative Unit 61 Farmington. About the Role

This role reports directly to the assigned special educator or Title I Coordinator under the direction of the building administration. The successful candidate will work closely with regular and special education staff to provide individualized support to students with special needs, implementing teacher-planned instruction and monitoring student progress throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of teacher-planned instruction, including preparation of instructional materials and provision of individualized support to students.
  • Monitoring and assisting students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Providing behavioral support and developing strategies to promote positive student behavior.
  • Communicating regularly with teaching staff, administrators, and parents to ensure effective collaboration and support.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess an Associate's Degree and comply with current legal requirements regarding certification and ESSA requirements. A background check and physical exam may be required prior to commencement of employment.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $40,000 - $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
