River Road Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to create a safe, engaging, and educational afternoon playground experience for our young learners.

As an Afternoon Playground Supervisor, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain order and ensure adherence to playground guidelines, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
  • Effectively assist students in resolving conflicts and disagreements on the playground, guiding them towards peaceful resolutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the playground equipment and surrounding areas, identifying and addressing any potential safety hazards promptly.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate games and activities that encourage physical activity, creativity, and social interaction.
  • Document and report any instances of inappropriate student behavior, as well as accidents or injuries, ensuring clear communication with administrators and teachers.
  • Provide basic first aid to students who may require immediate assistance, demonstrating compassion and care in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with administrators and teachers to address any concerns related to student behavior or the condition of the playground facilities.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and run for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Capacity to easily get up and down from a seated position on the ground.
  • Strength to lift up to 25 pounds.

Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years old
