Job Overview

Brown Machine Group is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in Beaverton, MI. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lathe and milling machines, as well as programming and operating machines at proper speeds and feeds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to ensure accurate machining.
  2. Select and use appropriate tooling to achieve desired results.
  3. Program and operate machines to produce high-quality products.
  4. Assist in training personnel on machine-specific issues.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  2. A minimum of one year experience as a machinist required; four years experience preferred.
  3. Basic math skills, including trigonometry.
  4. Ability to work with minimal instruction and perform tasks with high accuracy.
  5. Basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 35-50 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Walk for extended periods and work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods.
