Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Route Service Technician - Entertainment Equipment Specialist to join our team at Shaffer Distributing Co.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

About the Job

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of entertainment equipment at various locations, including bars, clubs, restaurants, and bowling alleys.

You will be working as a liaison between Shaffer and our customers, building strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Install and repair entertainment equipment, including amusement machines, digital jukeboxes, A/V systems, and sound systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring that equipment is properly stocked and maintained.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain company-owned vehicles, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in customer-facing roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
