About the Role:

The School Nursing Program at Corewell Health provides healthcare access to over 90,000 students across 31 school districts in Michigan. As a School Nurse, you will provide onsite care, rounding, and triage services to students, working closely with districts to meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide nursing care responsibly and accountably, adhering to professional standards set by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the National Association of School Nurses (NASN).
* Demonstrate competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
* Uphold the standards of professional performance, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and research.

Qualifications:

* Associate's degree in Nursing required.
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
* MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
* AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
* Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS INSTR) certification required after 1 year.

Work Environment:

* Primary location: Widdicomb South, 665 Seward Ave, Grand Rapids.
* Department: School Advocacy - Healthier Communities - Non Kent County.
* Employment type: Full-time.
* Shift: Day (United States of America).
* Weekly scheduled hours: 40.
* Hours of work: 07:30-16:00.
* Days worked: Monday-Friday.
* Weekend frequency: N/A.
