Job Overview

Position: Electrical Components Specialist

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Work Schedule: Standard 4/10 shift

Role Summary:

  • Deliver expert Components Engineering support for advanced missile systems, addressing IRAD and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) challenges.
  • Oversee Components Engineering initiatives focused on obsolescence management, standardization, and the definition of engineering data, including the preparation of part standards and procurement control requirements.
  • Act as a key liaison among component suppliers, procurement teams, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Engage in activities such as resolving obsolescence challenges, preventing counterfeit components, generating comprehensive customer reports, facilitating part substitutions, and qualifying second-source components, while also preparing procurement specifications and addressing issues related to development and production parts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the manufacturing processes of electrical components and conducting physical property analyses.
  • Strong background in Components Engineering with a thorough understanding of electronic components and devices, both at the integrated circuit and discrete levels.
  • Experience with the release and qualification of new components.
  • Capability to obtain necessary Security Clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with DMSMS.
  • Experience in addressing component-related failure issues, including pure tin challenges and counterfeit part detection.
