Job Summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist Intern to join our Imaging Services team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ultrasound imaging and work closely with our experienced technologists to develop your skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct ultrasound studies for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations under the direct supervision of an appropriately licensed and/or registered technologist.
  • Review patient history and physician's orders, educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding.
  • Perform all patient-related activities strictly under the direct supervision of an appropriately licensed and/or registered technologist.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as needed.
  • Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
  • Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
Requirements
  • One (1) year of experience as a full or part-time Memorial Healthcare System employee working in Imaging.
  • Accredited program in Imaging (Required)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
