Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing sonography procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and comfort.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing images and identifying issues with quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, implementing safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status.
Requirements
  • Accredited Program: Ultrasound Technologist (Required)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) certification
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to radiation, biohazardous waste, and communicable diseases. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move patients, as well as work in a variety of positions, including standing, sitting, and bending.

Shift and Schedule

This is an evening shift position, with rotating weekends and holidays. The successful candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule and be available to work on-call shifts as required.
