About the Role:
Russell Tobin, a leading minority-owned professional and technical recruitment and staffing advisory organization, is seeking a skilled Project Surveyor to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for translating field data into CAD drawings to support project deliverables and communicating with field technicians to clarify and interpret data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish Effective Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with all users of survey information, including photogrammetric, construction, design, and traffic operations teams, to ensure complete accomplishment of work in full compliance with requirements for subsequent operations.
- Develop Right of Way Plans: Create and implement Right of Way plans to ensure seamless project execution.
- Translate Field Survey Data: Translate field survey data into end-user documents using AutoCAD and other software products, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA surveys.
- Prepare Property Descriptions: Prepare property descriptions for recording purposes of boundary retracement parcels and new subdivisions, following state and local ordinances.
- Interpret Construction Plans: Interpret construction plans for the preparation of field layout.
- Plot Deeds: Plot to scale deeds of property involving all types of descriptions, including leases, multiple ownerships, rights-of-way, and easements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or Natural Resource Management with a Land Surveying Technology concentration.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with MicroStation, Open Roads, and GeoPak desired. Currently pursuing their PS; OH PS license preferred. AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate and work as an effective part of a team.
- DOT Right-of-Way Prequel Designer/Reviewer: DOT right-of-way prequel designer/reviewer preferred.
