Salary: The hourly rate for this position starts at $16.60 and can go up to $23.81, depending on location.

About the Job:

This role is responsible for handling customer sales transactions in a courteous and friendly manner, extending sincere greetings and thanking customers upon completion of each transaction.

The ideal candidate will commit to the Golden Rule and work collaboratively with other associates to build a strong catering team, promoting associate morale and the company image as a service-oriented operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer sales transactions with courtesy and friendliness
  • Work efficiently and effectively to ensure timely deliveries
  • Maintain proper storage and shipping of orders, minimizing shrink and damaged goods
  • Ensure proper customer service at time of delivery
  • Notify management of customer complaints, security problems, and product issues

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license required
  • Driving record subject to annual review
  • Background check and substance testing
  • Ability to read and write English adequately
  • Ability to speak, understand, and follow English instructions

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a retail grocery location, often in an inside environment with some exposure to outside conditions. The job may involve occasional loud noise, slippery floor surfaces, and contact with sharp objects or skin irritants.

Schedules:

Varying schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, are common in this role.

Equipment and Tools:

This position requires the use of a catering delivery van, cell phone, and GPS.
