Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and certified lifeguard to join our team at Northern Kentucky University. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons and participants in the aquatics facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and maintain the aquatics facility to ensure a safe environment for patrons and participants.
- Enforce facility policies and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
- Maintain proper certifications and physical fitness required by industry standards.
- Participate in in-service training sessions and staff meetings to stay up-to-date on safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with peers, faculty, and staff to ensure a smooth and safe operation of the facility.
Requirements:
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified with CPR/AED for the professional rescuer or YMCA Lifeguard Certified with ASHI CPR/AED for the professional and Standard First Aid.
- Bloodborne Pathogens and Administering Emergency Oxygen Certifications highly recommended.
- Water Safety Instructor or equivalent certification a plus.
Working Conditions: This is a part-time position requiring 10-20 hours per week. Shifts will accommodate student class schedules and may include nights and weekend shifts.
Compensation: $9.75/hour.
