Position Overview:
The Pulmonary Medicine Specialist is an integral part of the Veterans Health Administration, delivering comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to patients. This role emphasizes collaboration within an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality clinical care in an inpatient environment.

Eligibility:
This position is open to U.S. Citizens, Nationals, and individuals who demonstrate allegiance to the United States. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Pulmonologist, your duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough medical evaluations and managing patient care in conjunction with healthcare team members.
  • Providing supervision and educational support to Internal Medicine Residents and medical students.
  • Participating in clinical programs focused on patient outcomes and adhering to established medical standards.
  • Engaging in administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate medical records and complying with facility regulations.
  • Fostering effective interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Work Schedule:
Standard hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • A current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary/Critical Care.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
