About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Assess learning needs and implement effective teaching strategies to educate patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate and delegate tasks effectively, managing nursing team resources and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal results.
  • Utilize data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change, driving continuous improvement in patient care and outcomes.
  • Embody the principles of customer satisfaction and employee morale, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Current RN License in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
