Position Overview:

Responsibilities:
Lecturers will engage with students from various educational, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and leading first-year Academic Inquiry Seminars.
  • Consulting with students in the Writing Resource Center.
  • Creating and conducting additional writing-intensive seminars, including courses in creative writing, professional/technical writing, or scientific communication.
  • Participating in writing program administration and assessment activities, which will be counted in the teaching load.

Teaching Load:
The teaching load is equivalent to six courses throughout the academic year, excluding summer sessions. This may encompass a combination of classroom instruction, consulting in the Writing Resource Center, and administrative duties.

A PhD in Rhetoric/Writing Studies or a closely related field is preferred.
