We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Electrical Authority to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Electrical System Engineer in ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical industry standards.
- Conduct field inspections and perform calculations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Develop and review load studies, design reviews, and procedural reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Interface with engineering team members, vendors, and operations management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Perform special assignments as identified by the Engineering Programs Manager and/or Chief Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10-12 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on NEC compliance and electrical system design.
- Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926, NFPA 70, NFPA 70B, and NFPA 70E.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of NFPA 55 Compressed Gases and Cryogenic Fluids Code.
- Knowledge of NFPA 56 Standard for fire and explosion Prevention During Cleaning and Purging of -Flammable Gas Piping Systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 67 Guide on Explosion Protection for Gaseous Mixtures in Pipe System.
- Knowledge of NFPA 77 Recommended Practice on Static Electricity.
- Minimum 8 years of experience working with engineering processes and procedures.
- ICC or IAEI Certified NEC Inspector.
- Knowledge of NRTL process.
- Experience working in the Nuclear field.
- Competitive salary range: $126,025 - $174,900.
