Job Summary

SEARHC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our dental clinic, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring dental assistants, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic, and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train dental assistants to ensure they meet the highest standards of patient care and clinic operations.
  • Develop and implement workflow processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new dental assistants.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and develop competency plans for dental assistants.
  • Lead dental assistant meetings and huddles to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain accurate records of dental assistant certifications, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Approve employee time sheets and maintain leave request, sick leave logs, and unscheduled leave logs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification in Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Current radiology certificate.
  • Minimum 6 years' dental assisting work experience, 2 years of which are in a supervisory capacity.
  • 12 annual continuing dental education credits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
