We are seeking a dedicated and dependable School Bus Driver to ensure the safe transportation of students to and from educational institutions. This role involves adhering to a designated route while prioritizing the safety and well-being of all passengers.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to vehicle upkeep, compliance with safety regulations, and the ability to maintain order among students during transit. A successful School Bus Driver should have a passion for working with young individuals and a thorough understanding of passenger transport guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remain vigilant to traffic and weather conditions to guarantee passenger safety.
  • Adhere to the established route and schedule for timely departures and stops.
  • Conduct regular safety checks on the vehicle, including tires, brakes, and mechanical systems.
  • Monitor and document fuel usage, mileage, and the number of passengers.
  • Report any delays, incidents, or emergencies promptly.
  • React appropriately to both emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Perform thorough inspections of the vehicle before and after each journey.
  • Assist with the boarding and disembarking of students as necessary.
  • Enforce safety and conduct regulations on the bus.
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A valid CDL license is mandatory.
  • Passenger and school bus endorsements are required.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a bus driver is advantageous.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
