We are seeking a skilled Deli Cook to join our culinary team at BlueWater Casino & Resort. As a Deli Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items in our deli outlet, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare a variety of food items, including hot and cold dishes, using standardized recipes and methods of preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer preferences and concerns in a positive and respectful manner.
- Work effectively in a team-oriented environment, communicating with colleagues and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Professional training through a culinary education or equivalent experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant or catering facility.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong background in food preparation and service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service, responding to customer preferences and concerns in a positive and respectful manner.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and other kitchen hazards. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, and push, pull, or drag up to 100 pounds. The employee must also be able to stand for long periods, walk, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
The employee will be required to wear a uniform and follow all health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The employee must also be able to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
The employee will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The employee must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The employee must also be able to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to health and safety standards. The employee must be able to provide excellent customer service, responding to customer preferences and concerns in a positive and respectful manner.
The employee will be required to attend in-house comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting training on COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. The employee must also be able to adhere to all BlueWater Resort & Casino and CDC guidelines in regards to the wearing of PPE (including but not limited to a mask and gloves).
