Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Direct and coordinate construction teams and subcontractors to uphold standards of performance, quality, cost, schedules, and safety.
  • Evaluate project specifications and proposals to establish timelines, budget constraints, procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation.
  • Implement a robust communication strategy and operational rhythm, ensuring regular updates on project status and challenges.
  • Develop and execute risk management and contingency strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, building codes, safety regulations, and local guidelines.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess progress and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure favorable agreements.
  • Acquire necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the construction sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in public works projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Strong management and delegation skills.
  • High-level communication and negotiation expertise.
  • Familiarity with construction laws and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
