Financial Analyst - Sustainability

Kingspan Group is a leading international manufacturer of sustainable products for the construction industry. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a strong interest in sustainability to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a strategic project analyzing the commercial opportunity for Solar energy generation and financing in multiple States across the US.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast performance, and assess risk.
  • Integrate sustainability metrics into financial analysis to promote environmentally sound and socially responsible investments.
  • Perform cost comparisons between traditional construction methods and newer sustainable methods involving solar and financing arrangements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for reducing carbon footprints and energy consumption.
  • Update costing models on a regular basis based on review of input material and production or project costs.
  • Prepare sustainability reports to set measurable goals and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Recommend shifts to renewable energy sources and improvements in supply chain sustainability.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes related to sustainability, particularly that of Solar energy generation.
  • Prepare financial data to support capital expenditure requests.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and execute them.
  • Support commercial activities of the business via pricing and profitability initiatives.
  • Prepare reports of findings and recommendations, compile and consolidate financial plans, and provide insights to management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • One to five plus years of relevant experience, financing experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles and their application in a corporate setting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communicator of financial information to non-financial managers.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, problem-solving ability, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret and adapt known methods, system procedures, or operating concepts to new situations and ability to identify and resolve related issues.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented.
Computer Skills:
  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook. Excel knowledge must include the ability to use VLookups and Pivot Table functionality at a minimum.

  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
