Position Summary

The Facilities Custodial Supervisor will oversee daily and periodic cleaning operations within university facilities. This role involves ensuring cleanliness standards are met, supervising a team of custodial staff, and coordinating various cleaning projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily activities of assistant supervisors and custodians, ensuring all tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to verify cleanliness and compliance with established standards.
  • Prepare and manage work schedules and biweekly payroll for custodial staff.
  • Evaluate the performance of custodial personnel, providing guidance and implementing disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Assign shifts and work areas to custodial staff, interpreting contracts and conducting training programs.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and manage supply inventories.
  • Foster positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Coordinate setup for events and ensure adequate staffing for all activities.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Skills Required
  • Proficient knowledge of cleaning methods and materials.
  • Strong supervisory and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse groups.
  • Ability to conduct custodial inspections and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
