Job Summary and QualificationsWe are in search of an ER Registered Nurse for our vibrant Emergency Department. In this role, you will provide clinical expertise to guarantee that all patients receive top-notch, efficient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. We value teamwork and are eager to welcome a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including triage, screening, preparation for examination, and providing general nursing care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding medications and treatment protocols.
- Maintain and review patient records, including documenting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician directives.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license in compliance with state regulations or possess appropriate compact licensure, with an active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Prior experience in an acute care environment is strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certifications are required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives.
