Role: PET/CT Technologist
Location: Long Beach, California
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather comprehensive medical histories from patients prior to examinations and ensure they are adequately prepared for scans.
- Adhere to stringent sterilization protocols at all times.
- Required skills include: IV Starts, PACS, Contrast, and Biopsies.
- Proficient in CT Procedures including: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Aspirations, Biopsies, Brain Perfusion, Drainage, CTA, and Multiplanar Reconstruction.
- Conduct daily equipment warm-ups and calibrations.
- Perform Multiplanar Reconstructions using EPIC, GE, BLS, and ARRT standards.
- Assist physicians in interpreting radiological images post-examination.
- Operate X-ray scanners to produce computer-generated cross-sectional images, commonly referred to as CAT scans.
- Provide essential patient care during various procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures by delivering clear and detailed instructions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must possess an unrestricted, active, current, and full ARRT Certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a CT Technologist is required.
- Must hold an associate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
