University Home Care is seeking an experienced individual to fill a part-time position as a Medicare intake specialist. This role involves managing the intake process for Medicare patients and ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are met for proper billing and reimbursement.

About the Position

This is a part-time role located in our Livonia, Michigan office, with a competitive salary range of $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities

  • Utilize extensive experience with Medicare intake to accurately process and review all documentation for Medicare patients.
  • Ensure all necessary information is obtained and entered into the system for proper billing and reimbursement.
  • Communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies to gather missing information or resolve any issues.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all intake activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient processing of Medicare intakes.
  • Stay updated on changes in Medicare policies and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medicare intake for home health services.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare regulations and policies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
