Cybersecurity Analyst Job Description

Founders Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT team. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization from cyber threats and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze security software and systems to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, including suspicious emails and alerts.
  • Perform vulnerability scans and research solutions to remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement threat assessments to evaluate risks posed by vulnerabilities or potential threats.
  • Collaborate with the CSOC team to create and execute security awareness training and testing for the enterprise and FIT clients.
  • Assist with maintaining email filtering systems and release emails when deemed safe.
  • Participate in CSOC team meetings and assist with reviewing and remediating items found during audits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • ISACA Cybersecurity Fundamentals certification within 12 months.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong data analysis and research skills.
